I know, i know. I dont update this for weeks and then two posts come along at once! :)

This weekend i was really looking forward to going to an old friend's housewarming party on Saturday night, but during the day the sniffle i had on friday night turned into one of those 48h colds. I just couldnt stop sneezing and i started to feel really wobbly. A good sleep and plenty of tablets and stuff sorted it out, but i had to miss the party :(

I was also very naughty this weekend. Despite being on the brink of purchasing a rather expensive (well, for me anyway. According to the brochure it was the cheapest option) kitchen, i thought i'd squeeze out some extra cash from my life savings and bought a Nintendo Wii.
And the Wii Fit.
Great fun, and also has some great SNES/Megadrive games available to download for a small fee so i'm in retro heaven!

Between snot and the Wii we also managed to find some time to do some gardening (splitting trays of seeds into their own individual pots) and took a load of crap to the dump.

Hurrah!

It's all been rather busy these past few weeks, and as usual i havent been too good at updating my LJ.

Back from holidaying in Menorca and, previous to that, Whitby.

Whitby was okay, but the weather spoiled it for me a bit. Gig was great though.

Menorca was lovely. Blistering sunshine and lovely food. Proper pictures and stuff to follow once i've cleared my work inbox :)

Just paid for another year of LJ. I dont know why i bother really as i dont use it as much as i used to and as the only extras you get are polls and more userpics. I guess it's habit :)

Got a lot of work to get through this week ahead of the Whitby gig, so i'll be brief.
Spent Saturday at G's parents, which was very pleasent. Sunday we did a bit of shopping (new suitcase and some tshirts for Menorca holiday) and then managed to spend several hours in the garden.
Planted lots of seeds, repotted stuff and netted the rasberries.
It was a long day - as i had a sudden surge of paganism that morning and decided to get up at 04:00, walk a mile to the edge of the village, and stood in a field leaning on a big staff and watched the sunrise with a flask of tea.
I may not have had a spiritual experience, but it was certainly beautiful.

Also, sunday night we started to watch the final season of Battlestar Galactica. I know, most of you who are fans saw it on Sky already, but i've only just got the boxset. Anyway, what started as 'just one while we eat our dinner' turned into the first 3 episodes back-to-back. Gripping stuff.

Today i seem to be feeling really tired again. Not falling asleep at my desk tired, but definately a bit sleepy and was even slightly unsteady while wandering the halls of Cope Towers this morning. I also seem more irritable than i usually am. I think i will be heading back to the docs soon anyway as my ongoing eye problems havent cleared up, so maybe i will finally get around to asking them for a blood test.
Haven't felt right for a while, so am wondering if its something more sinster than just grumpiness :)

Last night my lovely wife managed to recreate one of my favourite curries - the beef rendang. After looking around for a good recipie for ages, we found on in the back of an old cookery book at the back of the bookshelf. Awesome!

Got lots of paperwork to plough through today. Better get to it.
